What we collect
- Job alerts: when you subscribe, we store your email address and the field you picked, if any. We use them only to send you the weekly email.
- Company submissions: what you send us about a company through GitHub, by email or with the submission form. Company details we publish in the directory are public.
- Emails to us: your address and message, to answer you.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, we do not sell your data, and we make no automated decisions or profiles about you.
Giving us your data is voluntary. Without an email address we cannot send you the job alerts or answer you.
Services that process data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks the subscription form for automated sign-ups. It loads only when you start filling in the form.
- Amazon Web Services (region eu-west-1, Ireland) runs the subscription service that stores subscriber addresses and handles unsubscribes.
- Google Workspace hosts the [email protected] mailbox, which sends the weekly email and receives the emails you send us.
- Tally provides the company submission form on the submit page.
- GitHub hosts the open directory data. Pull requests and issues there are public.
Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, Google and GitHub are US companies. When they process personal data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis
- Consent for the job alerts. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest for hosting, security and answering your emails and submissions.
How long we keep data
- Job alerts: until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Emails to us: as long as we need them to answer you.
- Published company details: as long as the company is listed.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
