Accessibility statement

Last reviewed: 19 October 2026

This statement covers europeanremote.com. You should be able to browse the directory, search it and subscribe to the job alerts with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control or screen magnification.

Compliance status

europeanremote.com partially conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Our own pages meet the guidelines. Two embedded third-party services, listed under known issues, are outside our control.

What the site supports

  • Every link, button and form field works with the keyboard, in a logical order, with a visible focus outline on every background.
  • A "Skip to main content" link on every page.
  • Headings, landmarks and lists that screen readers can navigate.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1, and 3:1 for large text, including text over images.
  • Pages work at 320 pixels wide and when zoomed to 400 percent, without scrolling sideways.
  • No content flashes, and animations and smooth scrolling are off when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and form errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.
  • Search results and their number are announced to screen readers.

Known issues

  • Cloudflare Turnstile on the subscription form checks that you are a person. It is a third-party widget, and we cannot fix accessibility problems inside it.
  • The Tally form on the submit page is embedded from tally.so. If it does not work for you, submit your company by email or on GitHub instead.

The map on the hiring locations page is a visual copy of the country list below it. It is hidden from screen readers and skipped by the keyboard, so you go straight to the list, which has the same countries, numbers and links.

How we tested

This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 13 October 2026 and repeated on 19 October 2026, after the map and the subscription form changed. We checked every page template with:

  • axe-core automated tests for WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA, at desktop width and at phone width;
  • keyboard-only use of every interactive element, including search and the subscription form;
  • contrast measurements of text, controls and focus outlines;
  • layout checks at 320 pixels wide.
